The Penn Spinfisher Surf Combo is an intermediate rod and reel combo made for high performance fishing. It comes with a durable 10-foot fishing rod and a Spinfisher 850SSM spin reel, making it great for beach or rock fishing for salmon, tailor, jewfish, bream and flathead. The rod pulls apart into 2 pieces, which is great for storage in the back of your boot or in the garage. The 12-foot length is ideal for beach fishing because it has a long range casting distance. The integrated solid rod tip won’t break easily, so you can rest easy when travelling with it in your boot, pod or roof racks. The reel has 5 stainless steel ball bearings, so it’s smooth to use when fighting a fish or retrieving a lure. When beach fishing, the key is to find a gutter. SLS3 construction uses inner and outer spiral wrap layers of carbon fibre to sandwich middle layers of alternating longitudinal carbon and glass.
